                             CAREER CHOICE MENTORSHIP AND  LEADERSHIP

Kibera Informentors Program hosts mentorship sessions with local primary and secondary schools located throughout Kibera and Mathare slums.  Most sessions are held on Saturday mornings and afternoons, and include presentations from Guest Speakers.

Through encouraging students to pursue their various career ambitions and providing a positive mentorship experience, Kibera Informentors strives to support the youth of Kibera and the slum community as a whole.

During these sessions the following are the kind of discussion topis that we tackle with studentsof respective schools:

1. Leadership                                                                                    2. Motivation

3. Goal setting and Decision Making                                     4. Career Choices

5. Talent Identification                                                                    6. Capacity Building and                                                                                                                                                             empowerment

With these topics it would be very easy for us to delegate the proffesionals who come to mentor the topics.

The mentorship program is the mother program for the informentors foundation. It is through the program that we were able to bring practical meaning to the mentorship of the students in Kibera. Opening other programs made the mentorship to have a more practical meaning. But non the less it does not hinder us from continuing with the mentorship.

So far this particular program has expanded to many schools who every month have an opportunty to interact with new proffessionals.
